Hi and welcome. This is my first foray into blogging and as I’ve never had much time to read blogs, I am kind of making it up as I go along. I am really keen to share my experiences about children and money, but as time is limited the posts will be pretty basic in their lay out and focus is on content, not technical perfection.

The Pocket Money Market has two main aim: The primary objective is nurturing a spirit of entrepreneurship in young children with the long term goal that more South Africans will be able to sustain themselves independently and possibly in a more flexible lifestyle conducive to less commuting and more active parenting which is often a challenge. The second objective is to bring real and immediate income generation to families where the means for the children to join the Pocket Money Market are simply not available, via the outreach programme.

I have a neat PDF available with my grand, national plans, but cold calling and fundraising are not my strong point. Any connections or pointers would be most appreciated…peeps to follow on twitter and FB pages to join, radio stations to hit on, whatever. I don’t have a lot of spare time, so quality is important. Anyone keen to help would be great too. (But not to nick ideas and waste time.) Also please share the market ads like mad…I’ve no advertising budget. I still need to get SPONSORSHIP for this project, especially to grow the outreach.

Some handy links are the Pocket Money Market Facebook page and the  Twitter feed.

If you are interested in my qualifications and experience please visit my Linked In profile. I have a Bachelor of Economics from Stellies and some more recent qualifications too.

The “Kids n Cash” overview of this blog pretty much gives tells how I got here, but if you would like to know a little more about who I am you can click here: http://www.southpeninsulamoms.co.za/linda-wilson/#more-1003

Thanks for the click!
